The severe global financial market crisis has had tremedous impact on small and medium-sized businesses. Small business owners' performance is down considerably over the past two months.

Expressed in terms of CFIB's barometer, performance is down to an average index value of 90.3 in October 6 to November 16 period compared to 101.8 in early September. However the overall results showed consistency.
