Small and medium-sized businesses are missing out on booming global markets like China, mostly due to apathy, a survey released on Wednesday showed.
While SMBs largely view globalization in a positive light, 37% of those surveyed believe they had enough business to deal with within Canada. Another 17% said their businesses need to advance financially at home first before expanding overseas, 13% said global expansion was too ambitious for their size of company and 11% said the cost involved was too expensive.
