My building has many vacancies, the leasing co. has already increased the rent and I am trying to get them to actually reduce the rent in these hard struggling times..they are ignoring me...any advice or recommended resources

Though the leasing company already increased the rent, there are a few things you may still consider:

- To negotiate for a rent-free or rent reduction period with the new tenants

- to set up an incentive plan (cash or gift)for existing tenants for bringing in new tenants.

- If financing is not an issue, consider leasehold improvement to attract potential tenants, also check for the energy incentive plan from Ontario Government from the following link: http://www.investinontario.com/sbeprograms/govtprograms_searchresults_en.asp?cat=Energy+Incentives&searchby=cat&lang=en
